Murray Crashes out to Wawrinka

Murray Crashes to Wawrinka

Andy Murrays new goal of defending his first gram slam ended in frustration
The Briton, seeded third, could not earn a single break point in a 6-4 6-3 6-2 defeat on Arthur Ashe Court.

Struggling to find his best form frustration was there for all to see when he was given a code violation for racket abuse.

Murray is of course only human and a dip in form has at some point to be expected .
After finally cracking Wimbledon, whatever anyone says, mentally there must be to some degree "What do I do now Syndrome?"

So who will take the Mens US Open 2013

Djokovic and Nadal look the main men but what about Stan The man?
Over the years his talent has been undoubted, but now he looks to have belief.

A greater belief has come via his Swedish coach Magnus Norman who told BBC Radio 5 live.

"It's not easy but I knew that he has it,
He's shown in the past, on and off, that he has it. It's a little bit a matter of self-belief and having a good team around him that he believes can take him to the next level.
Then of course it's a lot of hard work. Day in and day out you have to speak about these things, because it still doesn't come naturally to Stan. He still doesn't really believe in himself 100% all the time.

We are playing in an era with guys who are probably some of the best that ever played tennis, so it's a big challenge but it also makes it very interesting. They are tough but they are not unbeatable."

At the moment his Yonex Frame has the accuracy of a lazer. His career progress makes interesting reading and with his great friend Federer losing ranking points galore the time may be upon us when the pecking order at home may be about to change.
